Clamped top or flanged top reactors

Clamped top, a standard design glass-lined steel reactor for over 50 years.. The signature feature of the CTJ reactor is the removable top head. This “J” bolted opening was originally designed to accommodate installation and removal of the wide anchor type agitator. The anchor and the retreat curve impeller was the glass-lined steel industry’s standard from the 1920’s until the mid 1980s when more efficient agitators were introduced to the industry.

Today due to cleanability demands we have a flanged top reactor. The top head is bolted and removable therefore eliminating the "J" clamps.

The flanged top reactors are offered with a variety of jacket options, conventional, split pipe coil, and full conventional to the flange. All flanged and clamped top reactors have the option for the new OptiMix design baffles.

Upgrades available

De Dietrich’s high efficiency glass-lined steel GlasLock® agitator easily retrofits the larger size reactors. (Request Bulletin 118 for details on the GlasLock® agitator.) Upgrades of drives, mechanical seals, baffles and other accessories will equip your reactor for years to come.
