TITLE: Marketing Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Marketing

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales
FLSA: Exempt

POSITION PURPOSE
Supports the organization through managing the various marketing initiatives, including maintaining customer and product databases, providing marketing and sales reports, performing market research studies, and coordinating the technical communications of the company (direct mailings, brochures, advertisements, customer events, and trade shows).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Develop and manage customer and product databases.
  2. Work with IT staff to revise/update web site information.
  3. Provide periodic reports to management.
  4. Maintain inventory of all Company product brochures, pamphlets, spec sheets, and other Company literature.
  5. Coordinate all phases of customer events and/or trade shows for Company.
  6. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Advanced proficiency in the use of MSWord, Excel, and relational database programs. Knowledge of web programming and resources for online services a definite plus. Strong organizational skills. Technical aptitude. Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated proficiency to effectively communicate with employees and customers at varying levels of responsibility and technical expertise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BA degree in marketing, advertising or business administration. Three to five years of sales or marketing-related work experience.

SUCCESS FACTORS
Confident, success-driven self-starter with high level of initiative. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; but comfortable in a team environment.
