MULTIPLE REACTOR LOADING USING
Patented PTS TECHNOLOGY

Illustration showing multiple reactor loading

PTS Powder Transfer border-color=PTS (Powder Transfer System) eliminates the need for a solids handling floor above the reactor suite or individual solids handling equipment adjacent in each reactor.

The solids can all be handled in an isolated room. This eliminates spills, dust and containment issues around the reactors. The solids can be charged without opening the manway, without operator exposure and in a totally contained manner. The reactor can remain closed at all times. Solids handling is therefore remote from the production area. As PTS offers a completely closed system, operators working in the production area no longer require PPE, a reduced number of personnel in the enclosed powder handling room require protection. Each PTS can be fed from a single vacuum or nitrogen source. Drum handling equipment, hoists, Big Bag emptying stations etc. can be substantially reduced and contained in the controlled area of the solids handling room. Explosion hazards are substantially reduced as it is easier to blanket the reactor without opening the manway for charging purposes. Solids can be charged safely with the reactor under vacuum or pressure and with solvents present. Spraying nozzles, reflux or flushing can be used for CIP. A Patent-Pending DCS can be made to communicate with PTS to ensure powders are charged only when needed.
