TRANSBATCH FEEDER

The TBFS- Transbatch Feeder System (patent pending) is the first technology to combine powder transfer and dispensing in a single unit. This product provides the ability to feed equipment or fill containers such as pails, drums or bags while at the same time dosing the material very accurately. Powder is sucked out of a container by vacuum and is then dispensed through the vibration tube.

Above: Transbatch Feeder for accurate filling of drums or other containers. An optional containment system is available for hazardous products.
  • Fill containers: drums, pails, bags, etc.
  • Feed process equipment such as tableting machines, mills etc.
  • Containment to less than 1 µgm/m3 is available if required
  • Transbatch filter permits the handling of products with difficult flow characteristics
  • No pressure used to discharge product so no venting is required
  • Transfers over long distances
  • Vibrating canal allows accurate dosing of product without causing any product damage or separation
  • Simple installation, easy user friendly operation
  • Easy to clean, validate and maintain
  • Dust free operation
  • Reduces operator exposure to hazardous products
  • Substantially reduces product handling
  • Charge virtually any powder: raw material, intermediate or finished product (FDA services), carcinogens, oxygen sensitive, skin sensitive, explosive or flammable products
  • Ideal for pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, metal powders, dyes, food products, etc.

DCS - Drum Containment System (Patent Pending)
PTS - Powder Transfer System (Patented)

The above example shows how the Patented PTS - Powder Transfer System technology has developed to be capable of providing a completely closed system with no possibility of contamination or operator exposure. In this closed system it is possible to charge hazardous product into process equipment; discharge and pack-out finished product and take fully representative samples for validation. All this is achieved in a system that offers containment to less than 1 µgm/m3 over an eight hour shift.

Compared to conventional systems, the PTS solution also considerably reduces product handling. No intermediate bulk containers are required. And the operator is not encumbered by having to manipulate powders inside a glove box, which then has to be cleaned. The equipment is very user friendly and puts minimal strain on the operator. Because the system is completely closed it does not necessarily have to be placed in the controlled environment of a clean room. The above solution is therefore, substantially more cost effective than traditional solutions while offering an exceptionally high level of containment.
This example includes the following equipment:

  • DCS - Drum Containment System (patent pending) to enable hazardous powders to be removed safely from the receiving drum while minimizing the need for operator PPE
  • PTS - Powder Transfer System (patented) to convey powders into the dryer
  • MPTS Solids Sampling System which enables a perfectly representative sample to be taken for analysis prior to pack-out
  • TBFS Transbatch Feeder System (patent pending) which enables product to be conveyed from the dryer to the pack-out container
  • A modified version of DCS, which provides containment of the product during the drum filling process.
